President & CEO
Byron Matthews leads Miller Heiman Group’s commitment to providing organizations around the world with an expanded, holistic approach for developing, managing and sustaining long-term customer relationships. With more than 20 years experience, Byron has consulted for and led sales organizations for several Fortune 500 companies.
He has collaborated with industry leaders like Microsoft, AT&T, Samsung and Coca-Cola on the development of pipeline and revenue management solutions, implementation of sales methodologies, optimization of sales management processes and compensation plans, and competency models linked to assessment and recruiting.
Byron’s prior experience includes serving as Chief Sales Officer at Aflac, where he led over 30,000 sales professionals across multiple channels, and over five years at Mercer as Global Sales Leader and Global Head of the Sales Performance Practice. Byron earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Kansas, and received his MBA at the University of Chicago.
Managing Director, Miller Heiman Group, EMEA
Richard Hilton has a track record of proven success that drives meaningful growth in the sales performance industry. He has a wealth of rich, complex sales and sales leadership experience running people-oriented businesses within the professional services area.
Hilton’s passion for generating results through innovative products and delivery methods, coupled with his consultancy-led approach, will enable customers to drive revenue and create efficiencies in their sales and service functions. Hilton has worked for some of the biggest brands in the industry, including ADP, Mercer and Barclays.
Most recently, he served as sales director for Capita Employee Benefits, where he led a team who introduced powerful, technology-based solutions to the market.
Chief Product Officer
Dana Hamerschlag is a strategic technology leader with a track record of launching innovative and new cloud-based solutions for learning. In her role at Miller Heiman Group, Dana leads the global product organization and is driving the continued innovation of technology solutions.
Dana brings more than 15 years of experience in technology companies backed by venture capital and private equity, where she has run product management, product marketing, strategy and operations. Previously, she served as Vice President of Product Management at Ellucian, where she led the CRM business and significantly grew revenue from $0 to $38 million, paving the way for a $3.5 billion transaction.
Dana spent the early part of her career at The Boston Consulting Group where she led transformational change efforts, organizational design and strategy projects for clients across a wide variety of industries including consumer products, industrial goods, healthcare and technology.
Dana earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia, and her MBA from Harvard University.
Managing Director, CSO Insights
Seleste Lunsford has consulted with sales and service organizations for more than 20 years, helping them acquire, grow and retain client relationships. As Managing Director of CSO Insights, Seleste guides CSO Insights’ research focus areas and define our market deliverables. An experienced business leader, Seleste has led a range of consulting, product development, professional services and operations functions.
Seleste has co-authored two books, “Secrets of Top-Performing Salespeople” and “Strategies that Win Sales.” She’s also written articles on sales effectiveness found in Selling Power, Entrepreneur, Chief Learning Officer and PharmaVoice, as well as DestinationCRM.com and HR.com. She’s proud to have supported some of the world’s most recognized companies including AAA, Alliance Bernstein, American Express, Arrow Electronics, Citibank, Convergys, U.S. Department of Defense, Office Depot, Traveler’s Insurance and Verizon Wireless.
Seleste earned both her bachelor’s degree and MBA from Florida State University.
Chief Revenue Officer
Allen Mueller brings a wealth of knowledge and a history of driving double-digit sales growth to Miller Heiman Group, where she leads the team of sales professionals globally and is responsible for the management of consulting services and solutions. Allen’s ability to lay out a strategic plan infused with data and analytics has enabled her to achieve a consistent record of sustained growth and achievement during her career.
Before joining Miller Heiman Group, Allen served as the Managing Director of Sales and Account Management for The Corporate Executive Board (CEB). In this position, she was responsible for sales and renewals across two highly competitive practice areas — information technology and financial services — and consistently exceeded growth targets.
Allen earned her CEB’s Member Impact award in 2013, which is given annually by the company’s CEO, and served as the head of vertical markets for Blackboard from 1999 to 2001. She has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland.
Chief Finance Officer
Steve Neptune is a hands-on financial executive with extensive experience in delivering actionable analysis and enhancing planning capabilities for growth companies. As Miller Heiman Group’s CFO, he specializes in partnering with the business to provide data-driven recommendations and streamlined processes that improve top- and bottom-line growth.
Steve has led finance and strategy for companies in many stages of expansion. Prior to joining Miller Heiman Group, he was a Senior Vice President at eBags.com, where he overhauled the planning and budgeting process, automated competitive dynamic pricing, and revamped the company’s inventory management function during a period of rapid growth. Previously, Steve was the VP of Strategy for HomeAdvisor.com, and the VP of Finance for Quiznos.
Steve holds a BA and a MBA, both from Stanford University.
Shanna Sandy is a results-oriented Human Resources executive with more than 15 years of experience partnering with global organizations in diverse industries. As Miller Heiman Group’s CHRO, Shanna oversees global Human Resources strategies and practices with the goal of attracting, developing and retaining a high-performance workforce that brings value to Miller Heiman Group clients.
Shanna previously served as the Vice President of Talent Management at TwentyEighty, where she supported multiple global learning and development firms and their respective Human Resources initiatives. Shanna also served as Vice President, Human Resources at Niquan Energy and earlier in her career held multiple Human Resources roles at the Government Services Division of Perot Systems Corporation, which was ultimately acquired by Dell.
Shanna holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Towson University, as well as a master’s degree in Human Resources Management from Marymount University.
Chief Marketing Officer
Aimee Schuster specializes in establishing and scaling marketing departments for B2B and SaaS organizations, particularly in the realm of technology. In her role, she routinely oversees all demand and lead generation, content, public relations, social media, business development and client communications.
Earlier in her career, Aimee served as the Vice President of Marketing at Yello.co, and worked for the business development group at global law firm DLA Piper. She holds bachelor and master of arts degrees in public communication from American University, has served as an adjunct marketing professor at Columbia College Chicago and most recently, launched and co-chairs the Illinois Technology Association’s Women Influence Chicago Initiative.
Chief Strategy Officer
Tom Werle has over 10 years experience leading various organizational transformation efforts within the spectrum of go-to-market strategy. His expertise covers customer engagement, product marketing, sales operations and service optimization with a particular focus on the value of digital enablement.
At Miller Heiman Group, Tom oversees internal strategy & corporate partnerships, global consulting, sales operations, and advanced professional services from strategic design through operational execution. Prior to joining Miller Heiman Group, Tom led client engagement teams for Accenture’s Advanced Customer Strategy business, and developed consumer marketing solutions for The Nielsen Company.
Tom holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois and a master’s degree from the University of Michigan.
