Organisations in the UK with a payroll over £3 million per year must pay the Apprenticeship Levy, which they must use for training.

LONDON – 4 March 2019 – The UK Government has approved Miller Heiman Group to deliver Sales Executive Level 4 Apprenticeship Training. This standard, or list of competencies, has been approved by the independent Institute for Apprenticeships. Miller Heiman Group will partner with the Association of Professional Sales (APS), the government-approved assessor for the front-line sales executive apprenticeship, to offer world-class apprenticeship training as part of the Apprenticeship Levy.

All employers with a pay bill over £3 million per annum in the UK must pay 0.5% of their overall payroll into the levy under this government scheme. Each organisation can utilise up to £6,000 per employee for apprenticeship training and if the levy is not used within 24 months, it is lost. Now, more than ever, is the right time for companies in the UK to strengthen the skills of their employees, especially within their salesforce.
